Fourplay: Dominik´s Golf 4 R32
BACK TO OVERVIEWposted: 2016-12-09
It´s the year 2001. Ten-year old Dominik Pruss from Laubenzedel in the heart of the Franconian Lake District is already dreaming of a Golf 4 R32. Dominik´s heart skips a beat every time he sees and hears the six-cylinder.
In August 2014, the now 25-year old retail salesman finally fulfilled his dream by buying a blue R32 of the Golf IV platform. As the reason he cites the Wörthersee convention in May 2014 where he was surrounded by a few Golf R32s, listening to the sound of their engines. “That’s when it clicked me,” says Dominik.
His 2003 model Golf had undergone a few modifications by the previous owner. Dominik replaced the coilovers installed by the previous owner with lower ones. But since the low coilovers were still not low enough after six weeks, he exchanged them for an HP Drivetech Airride for even lower parking.
The originally 241-hp strong engine was optimised to roughly 270 hp. Dominik further installed a Bastuck exhaust system to boost his sound. Now the car sounds even more muffled, attracting quite a few interested glances when cruising through the streets.
Furthermore, Dominik had the rear side parts widened by the notorious car body specialists at KTS. The front wings were replaced by wider SRS Tec plastic wings.
When it came to wheels, Dominik was all set for the DOTZ Kendo dark in 8x19’’ ET 35 and 215/35 tyres. In motion, the extremely edgy double spokes develop an impressive dynamic, creating perfect harmony with the R32’s sportiness.

We’re curious to see what all Dominik will be modifying on his IV Golf in 2017. As of now, his plans are strictly confidential.
We wish Dominik all the best and many more successful modifications to come!
